Ralph Bradshaw was born on a farm near Arkansas City and attended Arkansas City schools. Charles Eberhardt homesteaded a farm obtained in the Cherokee Strip Run of 1889. Ralph's mother was born in Arkansas City, Lulabell's father was a small child when the Eberhardt family immigrated from Germany and made their home on a farm in Indiana in the late Eighteenth Century. His mother's family, the John Wilheims, immigrated from Germany and settled in Arkansas City. Ralph's father came from Missouri and settled in Arkansas City in early years.
